Our team is made up of seasoned IT professionals that each bring their own unique skillset. All are Trusted Tester certified and have been extensively trained in document remediation as well as the testing of web sites/web applications.

Marilyn Anderson, Founder

 

508 Ally's quality services are built on the belief that every individual should have equal access to opportunities and resources no matter their ability or disability. Marilyn Anderson brings the experience of developing and implementing three Section 508 Programs in both the private and government sectors and has worked solely in the 508 arena for the past ten years. As a 508 specialist she is an active participant in the ongoing efforts to provide all persons with accessible electronic information and communication.

Ms. Anderson has provided support and guidance to teams that produce materials for active-duty service members and their families. She has firsthand knowledge of the impact non-conforming content can have on individuals with a need to access information that will help them receive benefits and find treatment. Her passion for creating accessible content is what lead to the creation of 508 Ally. Ms. Anderson's specialization was developed over years working with agencies such as DHHS, NIH, ARHQ, USAID, CDC, SAMHSA, DHA and DoD.

Ms. Anderson’s background includes 30 years of management as well as over 20 years in the field of IT. She holds a Security+ Certification, an active security clearance and is Trusted Tester v5 certified. She stays connected to the 508 community to ensure 508 Ally is always up to date on current materials, testing tools and best practices.

Brian Booth, Technical Lead

Brian Booth has been an associate of Ms. Anderson's for over a decade. He shares her desire for helping organizations and individuals in creating accessible content.

Mr. Booth's 30 years in IT has provided him with experience and knowledge in multiple aspects of the field. His background includes Quality Control as well as the authoring of policies and procedures that organizations require in order to stay up to date with various compliance documents for IT departments. Mr. Booth's auditing experience is with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance. Most recently he has been working in IT Security where he has assisted different organizations with their overall security posture. He is Trusted Tester v5 certified.
